Ingredients for horse feeds
Concentrated feed for horses is an important source of extra energy, vitamins and minerals as a supplement to roughage. Linseed and soya in particular contain many essential amino acids for horses.
A feed ration of constant composition, with plenty of roughage (a lot of raw fibre) and a small amount of easily digestible starch, prevents feed-related problems in the appendix and large intestine.
